Bringing together people, ideas, and resources, Tides Network actively promotes change toward a healthy and just society, one which is founded on principles of social justice, broadly shared economic opportunity, a robust democratic process and a sustainable environment. Tides Network believes healthy societies rely fundamentally on respect for human rights, the vitality of communities, and a celebration of diversity.
Tides Network was established by Tides Foundation, Tides Center, Tides Shared Spaces, and other related organizations, to collaborate on programmatic strategies and operations. Tides Network strengthens the progressive movement through leading-edge thinking and technology, and efficient infrastructural services.
Each of the founding organizations pursues a distinct yet related strategy to promote the Tides mission. Tides Foundation works with donors to increase and organize resources for positive social change. Tides Center operates projects working in the progressive movement. Tides Shared Spaces develops and manages sustainable workspace for nonprofits, providing space, community, and a NonprofitCenters model for the sector. Tides Network appoints the Board members and CEO of all Tides organizations.
