As a member of the Tides Network, the Foundation brings resources and people together--strengthening community-based nonprofit organizations and the progressive movement through innovative grant-making. In its thirty-year history, the Foundation has awarded over $500 million in grants to nonprofits working for social change in the U.S. and abroad, including more than $86 million in grants in 2005.
